Designer 22: Jennings Design Studio

Another Irish grown-Dublin based company who've been looking for designers to join their expanding team. Working predominantly in retail, commercial, office, and health, they even have a flagship store for Easons in Belfast under their belt along, not to forget some very funky design for Peter Mark. Albeit some of their work is not entirely authentic (but let's face it, how many truly are?) they are still an impressive home-grown design office. Check out their drawing board page on their website; some very fine examples of hand drawing concepts.

Architect 19: Peter Zumthor

Peter Zumthor, Swiss Architect & Winner of the 2009 Pritzker Prize & 2013 RIBA Royal Gold Medal, says about concept development: "Designing is a matter of concentration. You go deep on what you want to do. It’s about intensive research. The concentration is warm and intimate and like the fire inside the earth – intense but not distorted. You can go to a piece, really feel it in your heart. It’s a beautiful feeling.”
